Snow Day

About two weeks ago we got a little bit of snow and Devin told Emma that they would build a snowman but by the time we got home all of the snow was melted. So for the past two weeks Emma has been asking to go build a snowman with dad and we had to keep telling her to wait until in snows again. Yesterday her dream came true and we got about 6 inches of good snow. Devin came home from school early and they went outside to build the snowman. Emma had the time of her life. She loved every minute of it. We also went sledding at a nearby hill and Emma loved that also. We came home and had hot chocolate. It was a lot of fun and brought back a lot of memories of when I would go sledding with my dad and sister as a little girl.

New Living Room

We decided we needed an update in our house so we painted our living room. We sold our other couches and got some that we really love and work a lot better for us. We love the feel of our new room. Painting wasn't that fun but it was worth it once it was over. The best part is the big chair in the middle. I love spending the remainder of my pregnant days sitting in it. We still need to get our pictures up and other decorations to add some color but overall I think it was a success.

Princess Party

The other day one of Emma's friends had a princess birthday party. Everyone dressed up in a princess dress and the best part was that cinderella came. Emma couldn't believe the it was really Cinderella. She was in complete awe and loved every minute of it.

Chicago with Malynne

It was a cloudy day, but fun this is a picture of the Sear's Tower. We love chicago it is so pretty with lots to do. Emma loves going to "the city."

We forgot the stroller so Emma got to ride on Dad's shoulders.....yeah!!!!!

They call this the Giant Bean. Who know's what it is, but it is fun to look at.

My sister Malynne came to visit us yesterday and will be here until Nov 21st. We are excited. Yesterday we went into the city to go shopping and look around. It was cold, but fun and very crowded.

Jelly Belly Factory

Okay so I know I am a big slacker at this whole blog thing, but I will try to get better. Last week Devin was out of school so we had fun spending time together as a family. We took Emma to the Jelly Belly Factory and lots of other stuff. She loved it there. We rode a train to tour the factory and then they give you a bag of yummy jelly belly's at the end.

Story Time

Every Tuesday Emma goes to story time at the library. They sing songs and read stories. She loves to be in the front of the class and center of attention during dance time. What a cutie.

This is Emma's favorite hairstyle. Pigtails with one of mom's headbands. She is getting so big and is growing everyday.

White Coat Ceremony

A couple of weeks ago Devin had his white coat ceremony at school. It is where they get their coats to work in the clinics and hospitals. We are so proud of him for working so hard.

Lincoln Park Zoo

Emma and I went to the zoo in chicago this past thursday with some friends. It was a lot of fun. Emma loved seeing the animals especially the lions and tigers.
